ABOUT ME
I grew up in a very large family and quickly learned a love for photography, scrapbooking, and genealogy. My dad bought me my first camera when I was about eight years old and I marvelled at the click and winding the film forward! It was great fun getting the pictures back and sharing with those around me. Soon I found I was buried under piles of photos and I didn't know what to do with them! I stored them all in their little packets in my hope chest. I was at the Womens Showcase about 12 years ago and that's when I discovered Creative Memories! What awesome products! I was instantly hooked!
One of my favorite purchases was the power sort box from Creative Memories. This amazing tool allowed me to sort my huge pile of photos in a way that made sense and made them easy to access and keep them safely stored. It is one large box with separate, smaller compartments that are easily pulled from the larger one. This allowed me to pull one small compartment out, scrap just those photos or take them to a crop, and then put them right back when I was done! I highly recommend this product for anyone that has a pile of photos to sort and store.
I bought a digital camera after vacationing in Yellowstone for a week (many years ago). I couldn't take enough pictures of the amazing landscape and animals! I still love my 35mm, but I've found the digital camera allows me much more creativity and to photograph community events just for the love of being there!
You can find me at the Midwest Kidfest, the RRV Fair, the Toppers Car Show, and the SteamThreshers reunion (Rollag, MN) photographing the fun around me! I then upload the community event photos to my webshots. Last year the SteamThresher Reunion photos were downloaded over 18,000 times and won me an editors pic from webshots!
I enjoy volunteering in my community and teaching scrapbooking classes and workshops. I lead a scrapbooking group locally and online and enjoy helping others learn how to best take care of their photographs.
